Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a laying on of hands healing technique and comes from the Japanese words Rei - Spiritual Consciousness and Ki - energy life force. Reiki is not a religion and is independent of your spiritual or religious beliefs. It consists of a Channelled Energy which is said to be guided by the 'God consciousness' this is the term 'God' used in the broadest sense of the word meaning the 'oneness' and spiritual consciousness' of the universe to which the higher-self connects.
